Are you a music lover like I am? Do you feel like certain chapters of your life had a soundtrack, just like in the movies?

Music is in my blood and I love to sing and dance and just listen to songs from all kinds of genres. And if you’ve read my novel “Closer to Indigo,” you’ll know what I mean with all of musical references I included—just a little glimpse into my eclectic tastes.

Music is emotional, physical and spiritual. It helps us capture a moment and express it. It gives us shared experiences. It allows us to time travel. It helps us get through the tough times and it helps us remember the good times. It’s creativity in motion—a beautiful way to tell a story.

I also feel music has some messages for us if we’re paying attention and downloading these messages is one of my gifts. Sometimes (though not often) I dream about music, other times I wake up with a song in my head, other times people mention a song to me and other times I hear a song on the radio that speaks to what I’m going through at the moment.

I first noticed this musical synchronicity when I was around 7 or 8. I was sitting in our parked car with my friends waiting for my mom to come back to drive us somewhere and one of my friends, Janet, was talking about the song, “Like a Rhinestone Cowboy.” We were laughing trying to picture what a rhinestone cowboy would look like and then oddly enough, within a few minutes, when my mom came back to the car and turned the key and switched on the radio, “Rhinestone Cowboy” was playing! We were astonished!

Has that ever happened to you?

On that note, I’ve been inspired to share some of my favourite songs, albums and artists because I feel we all need a little pick me up these days. And who knows… maybe some spiritual messages will also come through as well.

So, let’s start with “Rhinestone Cowboy” by Glen Campbell (1975). To me, he’s not just wearing rhinestones—he’s wearing crystals. And this song feels like the moment right before someone hits the big time… from “walking the streets so long, singing that same old song” to “getting cards and letters from people I don’t even know” and “I’m gonna be where the lights are shining on me—like a rhinestone cowboy.”

Is someone we know about to step into the spotlight and be famous soon??? “Offers coming over the phone?” Yes! I’ll take that call!

That’s what I get. How about you? Watch the video and let me know what comes through for you! Is there fame and fortune in your future?
