On August 28, 8 years ago, back in 2016, I decided to quit drinking alcohol. One of the best decisions I ever made!
At the time, I was fresh out of coaching school and realized that I’d be a much better coach to my clients if I thought more clearly and let my intuition come through. I didn’t like how drinking wine made me tired and foggy-headed and I didn’t want to be struggling with my own (largely avoidable) problems while trying to help others. I also didn’t want to complicate peri-menopause with hangovers and to age myself too quickly.
And although not drinking wine is fairly easy for me these days, I have fought quite a few battles and I’m really proud of myself for staying on this sober path. Sobriety is part of my spiritual and self-care journey and I’m sticking with it!
And today, although I didn’t plan it, I’m also receiving this month’s essential oils order from doTERRA and now I see my new essential oils as a little “Happy Sobirthday” gift to myself.
