Is 2024 your year to tell your story? Would you like some help coming up with ideas to write about?
As a Storytelling Coach and author, this is my jam! My plan for this year is to make daily videos for my Spiritual Storytellers that are all about brainstorming ideas.
Here are today’s writer’s prompts that might help get your creative juices flowing!
The first card I pulled in today’s video was “It’s up to you!”
What a great place to start! It means that if you want to tell your story, do it! You don’t have to look to anyone else for permission and it’s not about waiting for some sort of magic sign. You can write about whatever you want starting today – it’s your story and your point of view and it doesn’t matter what anyone else says about it!
I also pulled some archetype cards to put some characters in the story: The Hermit, the Liberator and the Goddess! What kinds of antics can they get up to?
These characters need something to do, so I reached for Rory’s Story Cubes and got: a letter, a keyhole and a building to help with the plot.
And to give the story colour, I pulled 4 crystal cards from my Mystic Monday’s deck: Golden Enhydro Herkimer, Cobalto Calcite, Pink Halite and Garnet.
These ideas should keep you busy for today!
