Storytelling and kindness can travel across time and space, far into the future!

In my most recent YouTube video, “How Storytelling Sparks Kindness & How Kindness Sparks Storytelling,” I explore the profound relationship between storytelling and kindness, with a touch of inspiration from the musical, “Come from Away.”

Let me share how I made the connection between kindness and storytelling.

Just a few days ago, I went to pick up my new glasses, an early birthday gift from my mom. It was a simple act of kindness that brought a smile to my face and filled me with gratitude. These glasses will undoubtedly shape how I navigate the world, reminding me of the love and care behind them.

Afterward, while picking up groceries for a Gazpacho recipe, I found myself in a crowded store. To my surprise, a kind-hearted woman with a cart full of groceries graciously allowed me to go ahead of her in the checkout line. Her small act of courtesy made my day and reminded me of the unexpected moments of kindness in our everyday lives.

Later on, after receiving some free tickets from friends, my mother and I went to see the musical, “Come From Away.” Despite its unlikely premise—based on the events of 9/11 when flights were diverted to Gander, Newfoundland—the musical beautifully portrayed how even in the darkest times, light and goodness can emerge. The characters’ resilience, the talented actors, and the stories of compassion touched my heart deeply.

Reflecting on these moments of kindness, whether receiving new eyeglasses, encountering a nice stranger, or witnessing the profound impact of storytelling on stage based on a historical event, I am in awe of the significant relationship between storytelling and kindness.

As a Storytelling Coach, I guide Spiritual Storytellers to explore and share their stories, so they can transform past events into something amazing. When we share our stories, we foster compassion, empathy, connection and kindness across time and space.

How about you? Do you have a chapter in your life that you’re ready to heal? If you have gone through a difficult experience or carry a painful memory, I encourage you to explore it with an open heart and I am here to support you on your journey of transformation. Together, we can craft your story into something extraordinary! Maybe there’s a gift of kindness in there waiting to be opened!

Feel free to reach out to me when you’re ready.
